Rationale of the course：
The course is to provide college students with exciting experiences in exploring some of wonderful libraries around the world.  Basic English skills and communication competencies for serving in a library are also emphasized.  Since globalization is one of important issues in most higher education and professional development.  The course content will be divided into 2 semesters.  In the course, libraries with special features and interest will be introduced.  Examples of public libraries, national libraries, academic libraries, and special libraries will be explored.  In the course, basic English communication skills in library professionals will be practiced. Students will be able to differentiate various job specifications in a library, such as reference service, technical services, and cataloguing.
